Leadership Crises of "Biblical" Proportions—Part II

Presented by Steve Kerbel, Jewish Education Consultant

Leadership Crises II.png

Having studied the complex relationships the Bible describes between the characters of the Prophet Samuel and Kings Saul and David, in Part I, our study of the political intrigues and leadership crises will continue in April with the first internal challenges to King David among his many offspring. It is not necessary to have taken Part I of this course to join Part II. We will use the Biblical study technique of close reading to explore the honest criticism, analysis and fervor of the early kings of Israel. Knowledge of Hebrew is helpful but not necessary. Any modern Hebrew-English Bible will work as the text for this class. Our study will begin with 2 Samuel Chapter 15.
